Madden Swim School offers children's swimming lessons at the outstanding Downe House School swimming pool, located in Cold Ash, near Thatcham and Newbury (RG18 9JJ).

Our lessons run on Saturday mornings, Monday afternoons, and Thursday afternoons, welcoming children aged 3 years and above of all swimming abilities — from complete beginners to confident swimmers. Each session provides a safe, structured, and enjoyable learning environment where children can build their skills, confidence, and love for the water.

For our more experienced swimmers, we also offer the Madden Swim Academy on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. This advanced programme is ideal for children who have achieved their 100m swimming award or higher and are ready to progress to lengths swimming and refine their stroke technique.

The Downe House School pool provides excellent teaching facilities, including a 25-metre heated pool, comfortable viewing area for parents, and modern changing facilities — making it a superb venue for families.
